The abbey in Bath is a classic example of Gothic architecture. It is free to enter but there is a suggested donation. To go into the tower, you have to pay £6 but it is worth it for the view, even after 212 steps. Photography is permitted but looking at some of the details first hand is incomparable. There is the organ and the angel sculptures above the choir stalls.
